Terms of service

These terms apply between Shahid Bahader IT Services, trading as Bahader Labs ("we"), and the merchant who installs the Bahader Order Editing app on a Shopify store ("you"). By installing or using the app you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains what data the app handles.

1. The service

The app lets your customers change their own orders for a time you choose after checkout (delivery address, items, cancellation), holds those orders until the time is up, and shows you requests to approve and a history of changes. We may improve or change features over time. We aim to keep the app available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

2. Plans and billing

The app has a Free plan and paid plans, shown on the app's listing and in the app. Paid plans are billed by Shopify on your Shopify invoice, and Shopify's billing terms apply to charges, trials, cancellations and refunds. You can change or cancel your plan at any time in the app; uninstalling the app cancels it.

3. Your responsibilities

• You choose which changes customers may make and how refunds are handled. Changes are made through Shopify (order edits, cancellations and refunds), and Shopify recalculates prices, taxes and payments; check your orders and payouts as you normally would.
• Address changes that you approve don't recalculate shipping or tax; adjust the order in Shopify if needed.
• You are responsible for telling your customers how you use their data (for example in your store's privacy policy) and for having a lawful basis to collect it.
• You must not use the app for unlawful purposes or to send unsolicited marketing.

4. Liability

The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.

5. Ending

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend access if the app is used unlawfully or in breach of these terms. On uninstall, data is deleted as described in section 6.

6. Data processing terms

This section is our data processing agreement with you. For personal data of your customers that the app handles ("customer data"), you are the controller and we are the processor.

1. Purpose. We process customer data only to provide the app's features on your instructions, as given through the app's settings and your use of it, and for no other purpose. We do not sell customer data or use it for advertising.
2. Data. Customers' Shopify IDs, delivery addresses (name, company, address, phone) when they change them, and order details, as listed in the privacy policy.
3. Confidentiality and access. Only the app's owner and maintainer can access the systems that hold customer data, and only when needed to run or support the app. Access to customer data in the app is logged.
4. Security. Data is sent over HTTPS. Change details (including addresses) and the app's access tokens are encrypted in our database (AES-256-GCM), so database backups hold them only in encrypted form. Development and test data are kept separate from production data.
5. Sub-processors. Our hosting provider (OVHcloud, data centre in Canada), which runs the server and database, and our email provider (Spacemail), which delivers the app's emails. We will update this list before adding another.
6. Requests and deletion. We act on customer data requests and erasure requests that Shopify passes to us, and help you answer requests from your customers. When you uninstall the app, all of your store's data is deleted when Shopify asks us to (48 hours after uninstalling).
7. Breaches. If we become aware of a security breach affecting customer data, we will tell you without undue delay, and within 72 hours, with what we know and the steps we are taking.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; for significant changes we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
